MoU Signing Ceremony Between Asia China Education and Culture Association (ACEC) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)

China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation International Industry Academia Research Collaboration Initiative Signing cum MoU Signing Ceremony Between Asia China Education and Culture Association (ACEC) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM)

On 24th February 2022, a hybrid signing ceremony was held between Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) and Asia China Education and Culture (ACEC) Association for the China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation of China ASEAN Information Harbor Collaboration Initiative. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the Collaboration Initiative were officially signed by Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Wahid bin Razzaly, Vice Chancellor of UTHM, Professor Xu Huarui, President of GUET and Mr Yang Chengcheng, Executive Regional Director of ACEC.

Executive Director of ACEC,  Mr Yang Chengcheng expressed that through the platform of China ASEAN Information Harbour Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Center,  it will act as a physical platform for overseas industry-academia-research collaboration. Mr Yang also hope that UTHM lecturers and students will go to GUET and other alliance members to teach and exchange, to promote cooperation between the two sides to cultivate more high-quality international talents under the Belt and Road Initiative and promote common progress and development in the region.

During the signing ceremony, Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Wahid expressed his positive feedback on the collaboration and looked forward to working with ACEC to promote international cultural and educational exchange and cooperation between China and Malaysia. With the collaboration between GUET and the School of Computer Science and Information Technology of UTHM, it will lead to a breakthrough in digital information technology . The President noted that the academic research collaboration between the three parties will enhance the quality of services provided by the University and the internationalization of the University.

GUET President Xu Huarui said that this initiative to build the Alliance Industry-Academia-Research Intercultural Exchange Center aims to provide a cross-cultural exchange service and collaboration platform for the Alliance universities through cross-cultural industry-academia-research exchange, joint training of talents, sharing of scientific research information, and joint incubation of achievements in the RCEP region.

The successful signing of the Initiative and MoU heralded the success of the ceremony and signaled a bright future for cross-cultural industry-academia-research exchange and collaboration in the region.

2月24日下午，马来西亚敦胡先翁大学（敦大）、桂林电子科技大学（桂电）以及亚洲一带一路文化教育合作促进会（亚促会）举行中国-东盟信息港电子信息人才培养与科技创新联盟（联盟）产学研合作倡议混合型签约仪式。敦大校长拿督瓦西德拉扎里教授、桂电校长徐华蕊教授与亚促会执行会长杨程成先生在三方人员的见证下正式签署合作备忘录和倡议书。

亚促会执行会长杨程成表示，通过联盟产学研中心建设海外产学研合作实体平台，并希望敦大老师和学生前往桂林电子科技大学和其他联盟成员学授课、交流，在一带一路倡议下推动双方继续合作培养更多高质量国际人才，促进区域共同进步和发展。

在签署仪式上，敦大校长拿督瓦西德表达对于此次合作促成的正面反馈，期待与亚促会推动中马之间的国际文化和教育交流与合作。拿督瓦西德指出，通过三方之间的学术研究合作将使数字信息技术得到突破性变化提高大学的服务质量，并实现该大学的国际化进程。

桂电校长徐华蕊表示，今次倡议建设的联盟产学研跨文化交流中心，旨在通过跨文化产学研交流，在区域全面经济伙伴关系协定（RCEP）区域为联盟大学提供一个人才联合培养、科研信息共享、成果共同孵化的跨文化交流服务合作平台。

产学研合作倡议书与备忘录的成功签署，预示着此次会议圆满成功，同时也昭示着在亚促会以及中国-东盟与联盟高校的共同努力下，区域内的跨文化产学研交流合作将迎来美好的未来。
