China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation International Industry Academia Research Collaboration Initiative Signing cum MoU Signing ceremony between ASIA CHINA EDUCATION AND CULTURE （ACEC) ASSOCIATION and UNIVERSITY SAINS MALAYSIA (USM)

On January 4, 2022, as one of the initiators of the Alliance, Guilin University of Electronic Technology (GUET) signed an Industry-Academia-Research-Collaboration initiative with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on “China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation”, warmly welcoming Universiti Sains Malaysia to join the Alliance. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed virtually between Asia China Education and Culture (ACEC) Association and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The online signing ceremony was signed by Mr. Chengcheng Yang, Executive Regional Director of ACEC Association, and Ms. Siti Farah, Secretary General, together with Prof. Dato' Dr. Narimah Samat, Deputy Vice Chancellor of USM, and Prof. Dr. Nie Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of GUET. 

Since its establishment, the Alliance has received active participation from government departments, industry enterprises, universities and research institutes at all levels in China and ASEAN countries. At present, the Alliance members include 25 national universities and 92 national enterprises, as well as 38 universities and 5 enterprises in ASEAN countries.

Prof. Dr. Nie Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of GUET, said, “Today, Guilin University of Electronic Technology and Universiti Sains Malaysia signed an international Industry-Academia-Research-Collaboration initiative under the framework of China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation, which I believe has a leading role in promoting regional cooperation in education, research and industry under the Belt and Road Initiative. We hope that both sides will give full support to their respective advantages in talent cultivation, science and technology innovation, and focus on building a distinctive base for collaborative education and training. It can also be the leading highland for innovation and entrepreneurship, so as to help the development and upgrading of China-ASEAN electronic information industry”.

Universiti Sains Malaysia is the second largest public university in Malaysia and one of the top five comprehensive research universities in Asia, undertaking a growing number of world-class research projects. It has also been selected by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia as an APEX (Advancement to Excellence) university and is known as the "Garden University of Asia". Prof. Dato' Dr. Narimah Samat, Deputy Vice Chancellor of USM, expressed her expectation for more academic and cultural exchanges to stimulate and nurture knowledge and build all-round talents.

Universiti Sains Malaysia, Guilin University of Electronic Technology and Asia China Education and Culture (ACEC) Association will work together to expand the scope of cooperation in Industry-Academia-Research-Collaboration Alliance and accelerate the innovation of talent training, science and technology innovation model in the field of electronic information. The collaboration will create more cross-field international learning and education platforms and develop a model area for China-ASEAN talent training as well as a pioneering area for science and technology innovation. Both parties aimed to establish an advanced approach of resource sharing, complementary advantages and a win-win cooperation, in which accelerate the development of China-ASEAN higher education and the bolster of the upgrading of China-ASEAN related industries.

中国-东盟信息港电子信息人才培养与科技创新联盟产学研合作倡议签约仪式暨亚洲一带一路文化教育合作促进会及马来西亚理科大学合作备忘录线上签署仪式

2022年1月4日，桂林电子科技大学作为联盟发起单位之一，与马来西亚理科大学签订“中国-东盟信息港电子信息人才培养与科技创新联盟”产学研合作倡议，热烈欢迎马来西亚理科大学加入联盟。亚洲一带一路文化教育合作促进会和马来西亚理科大学也在线上签订合作备忘录 (MoU)。线上签署仪式由亚洲一带一路文化教育促进会中国区执行会长，杨程成和秘书长西蒂法拉，和理科大学副会长，拿督娜黎玛教授，及桂林电子科技大学党副书记，聂慧副研究员共同签署。

联盟成立以来，得到了中国与东盟各国各级政府部门、行业企业、高校和科研院所的积极参与，目前联盟成员单位包括25所国内高校、38所东盟国家高校，92家国内企业、5家东盟国家企业。桂林电子科技大学党副书记聂慧表示：“今天桂林电子科技大学与马来西亚理科大学在中国—东盟信息港电子信息人才培养与科技创新联盟框架下签署国际产学研合作倡议书，我相信对推动一带一路倡议下的区域教育、科研和产业合作具有引领示范作用。希望双方充分发挥各自人才培养与科技创新优势，着力建设特色鲜明的产教融合协同育人基地、示范引领的创新创业高地，从而助力中国-东盟电子信息产业发展与升级”。

马来西亚理科大学是马来西亚排名第二的公立大学，也是五所亚洲顶尖的综合性研究型国立大学之一，承担着越来越多的世界级研究项目。也被马来西亚教育部选中成为APEX（迈向卓绝计划）大学，素有“亚洲的花园大学”的美誉。理科大学副会长拿督娜黎玛教授表示期待更多的学术及文化交流，激励和培育知识和打造全方位人才。

马来西亚理科大学和桂林电子科技大学及亚洲一带一路文化教育合作促进会将共同合作扩大一带一路产学研联盟合作范围，加快创新电子信息领域人才培养和科技创新模式，开创更多跨领域国际学习与教育平台，打造面向中国—东盟的电子信息领域人才培养样板区、校企合作示范区、科技创新先行区，走出一条资源共享、优势互补、合作共赢的新路子，加快中国—东盟高等教育发展、促进中国—东盟相关领域产业升级。
